The North Face WindWall Glove - Women's

The North Face made the Women's WindWall Gloves for ice climbers, backcountry skiers, and mountaineers who need more warmth and durability than standard fleece. WindWall 1 fleece keeps your hands from feeling the wrath of the 40mph gusts in camp. The North Face outfitted these ultralight gloves with Toughtek palms to take the abuse of ski edges and ropes, so they don't need to be replaced every few months.

Bottom Line: Tired of destroying your fleece gloves? Upgrade to The North Face Women's WindWall Gloves.

Great for mild weather

By:
February 17, 2009

If you use them for 25-35 degrees they are nice and pretty stylish. Not ideal for extremely cold or wet weather.

Overly Glorified

By:
December 9, 2008

These gloves do not fit "true to size." The thumb is akwardly wide for a womens glove. I have small hands and was shocked to see that my hands measured to be a Large. But I ordered Large anyways because thats what I matched up with. These gloves are huge. I could actually put both of them on one of my hands and still be able to clench my hand into a fist. The grip is exceptional but overall this glove was not what I had expected it to be from a brand as well known as The North Face.

Not what I expected

By:
February 2, 2009

I wanted these gloves for playground duty: 30 minutes in 20-30 degree weather. They were not warm enough, and these were the ones recommended by the backcounty staff. They also were not well finished on the inside--the seams were rough and scratchy. I think I would rather go with some fleece gloves. I do want to say that customer service has been great, and I will continue to shop here.

Not as warm as anticipated.

By:
January 16, 2008

I thought they would have been warmer because I must admit I still feel the cold when the temperature is thirty degrees or below. It would also be better if they were equipped with a thin lining of some sort. Not the most comfortable gloves however, they are definitely durable. I do love the grips on the palm and fingers which eliminate being the butterfingers outdoors.

Huge Thumb!

By:
April 1, 2008

These gloves fit well - except for the thumb. Seriously, I could fit 3 of my thumbs in there. Weird.

Wrist too small

By:
May 8, 2007

The wrists on the gloves were uncomfortably tight. There didn't seem any point in going to a larger size since the fingers were the right length. My wrists are possibly a little thicker than average, but not extraordinarily so.

North Face WindWall Glove

By:
February 25, 2008

These gloves are awful. The seem on the palm at the thumb ripped out 2 weeks after I got them. They are not warm at all, and when I got snow on them, they leaked.

Great light gloves

By:
January 16, 2008

Great gloves, not too heavy good for everyday wear in the winter or walking around after skiing. The sizing chart was a little off though. I usually wear an extra small and the chart said I was a medium. But indeed - an extra small fit great.

GOOD OVERALL

By:
January 28, 2008

I was looking for lightweight warm gloves and received lightweight adequate gloves. They didn't hold up below thirty degrees. My hands were cold but not frozen. They are true to size, I ordered a medium (8). Also the grips are pretty cool they come in handy especially while driving.

Good Gift

By: Backcountry.com Alumni

I got these gloves as a gift. My mom liked them and wears them often (in the winter) for lightweight occasions. They fit her well and are very comfortable. They are not the gloves to buy if you are looking for something to provide a lot of warmth.
