The North Face made the Men's Vorcyon Jacket with a lean, lightweight design and waterproof breathable HyVent fabric. This means you'll stay dry during snowstorms on the hill without looking like you're wearing tent. Fully taped seams block moisture, and the adjustable hood protects your head from high mountain winds. Open the Underarm zips as the day heats up, and stash your iPod in the media pocket for on-slope tunage. The Vorcyon Jacket's powder skirt blocks snow during your occasional wipeouts.
Bottom Line: You won't look like you just came out of hibernation when you're wearing The North Face's low-profile Vorcyon Jacket.
Hi, I am concerning about the warmth rate and the weight of this jacket. The average temperature in my region is around 20-30F. Could u provide the related information that would help me to make a decision quickly? Thank you.
This is a shell only, no insulation. That means you get to choose how warm you need it by putting in layers underneath, I recommend a softshell and merino wool long underwear as my two favorite.
Nice jacket for skiing..if your looking for an insulated jacket, this won't do the job! I sometimes wear two jackets underneath to stay warm! This was my first buy for a ski jacket so i have nothing to compare it to! But as for water proof..it has not failed me yet! The snow skirt is a must for doing anything with winter and keeping out the snow..another nice thing about the snow skirt you can hook it to your belt loops on your snow pants to keep it from working its way up your waist! Maybe this is just a common thing with these jackets but I thought it was a nice touch to a cool jacket!
