The North Face Vertex Stretch Trail Pant - Women's - 2008

Hit the trails in a pant that would never hold you back—the North Face Women's Vertex Stretch Trail Pant is your trusty softshell sidekick. Abrasion-resistant, water-resistant stretchable fabric is plenty tough for any bushwhack, scramble or climb. And with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 30, you're not only safe from the elements but from the sun's rays as well. Zip closure front and side cargo pockets safely stash your keys and energy bar. Fortunately, even this many performance features doesn't make the Vertex Stretch pant mountain-mannish. A modern, straight cut and elasticized inner waistband give the pant a feminine fit, so you will definitely not be mistaken for a grizzly bear as you make your way down the trail.

Bottom Line: The Robin to your inner Batman.

Too big and stretchy. Could pull them over my head! Strange fabric.

Love them!

By:

I love these pants. I have worn them in the cold and in the rain hiking mountains throughout Colorado. I wore the Northface Paramount Porter pants for three weeks of trekking in Nepal and though they were great. These are even better. Much more comfortable and with the added benefit of a DWR. They are my "go to" hiking pant now.

I am needing a pair for walking around in Red River, New Mexico.

I am needing a pair for walking around in Red River, New Mexico. The temperature in early December would probably be 10-30 degrees, do you think these would be warm enough?

No, you're gonna freeze in these things. They're meant for spring and fall temps. Defineately not for below freezing.

BEST PANTS EVER!!!!!!!!

By:
September 8, 2008

I wore this pants climbing Mt. Fuji and they were so comfortable, I decided to wear them back home. My legs did get wet but only after climbing in the pouring rain for over an hour. I am ordering another pair just for everyday wear.

My first pair was from another vendor and were a little different. Nevertheless, they are by far my favorite pants. I even got away with wearing them at a professional conference with a nine blazer- way more comfortable than regular slacks!
