Keep the lightweight, packable The North FaceMen’s Venture Parka stashed in your day pack or car and be ready for unexpected downpours or predicted storms. The highly breathable HyVent DT material utilizes a polyurethane coating to prevent water from permeating through the membrane and the fully taped seams top off the waterproof capabilities. The North Face designed the Venture Parka with an extended back length to ensure full upper body coverage and gave you precise fit adjustment with both waist and hem drawcords.
Bottom Line: From wet trails to soaked city streets.
I'm 6-2 185, and wear a 17 size neck collar with 35 inch sleeves. I plan on using this jacket as a shell over several layers - like a light sweater with a denali fleece.
I'm leaning towards an XL. Do you think that's the right size?
My 6-year-old daughter loves her jacket. It is warm and light for playing in Ontario's snowy winter. The jacket did fit a bit small and we needed to change it for the next size up, but backcountry made the return process very easy. I would recommend this jacket for anyone.
what is the differents between VENTURE PARKA and BOULDER JACKET NO.4023 1.FROM TECH SPECS 2.FROM CUT(is it true that the BOULDER cut is bigger?) thanks.

My son is about 6' and weighs approx. 190. His neck size is 16 1/2 and arm length 34/35. What size should I get? He doesn't want it to be too loose, but of course, fit comfortably.
My husband is 6'4", 220lbs and usually needs a 36/37 sleeve length in dress shirts. Should I get him the XL or XXL in the Venture Parka? My biggest concern is arm length.
I am 6'2'' and 200, athletically built (wide shoulders, broad chest, big rib cage). I'd like the jacket to fit snugly, but not restrictively. Comfortably, but not baggy. What size should I get. And would the jacket version be too short for me? Thank you :)
With the fit you're looking for and with your measurements I'd go with an XL. Double X is going to be too baggy and L is going to be too tight. Hope that helps.
Bought this to take to Alaska knowing I would run into rain sometime there. Took a float plane trip into the wilderness and as I thought it rained on us. The parka did all I was hoping it would, Light weight because we were very limited on weight we could take there and my camera equipment took up most of that. The extra length worked out well. Didn't bind me up moving around to take pictures. It did what it was suppose to do
I am interested in researching any other jacket suggestions of equal or better waterproof-ness to the Venture Parka (with pit-zips) BUT with an alternative to the storm flaps.. Such as a taped zipper. Although I DO like the length of the parka and would like a longer-type jacket as apposed to a normal Jacket fit up to the hips. Please help if you are familiar with any other similar jackets It is very much appreciated!
I tried on an XL TNF Venture jacket at the store the other day and i didn't like the length of it on me. Im 6.3'' 210lbs. I was thinking of going with TNF Venture Parka instead. Is the Parka the same exact jacket just longer? and do you think TNF Venture Parka in XL would be a good choice?
Go with the Parka. I bought both, and the Parka makes the most sense under any condition. It is "rain gear," you are buying, so it needs to protect the most area as possible. The jacket doesn't do the job nearly as well as the parka. I don't think most people know there even is a parka version of the Venture. Otherwise there would be a lot of reviews on it.

I have this jacket. And it says you can stowe it in the left pocket. Dose anyone know how to do it and make it look right? I am just tucking it in the hood wrapping it in the draw string. Any help with this.
The left pocket is built so you can pull the entire jacket into it. Then there is a zipper you can close so it all becomes encapsulated in a mesh pocket.
