The North Face Torino Insulated Jacket - Girls' - 2007

Heatseeker synthetic insulation gives The North Face Girls' Torino Insulated Jacket an extra bit of warmth to keep your little one toasty on the ski hill or in the valley. Whether you need to bundle up your girl for a day of skiing or a winter walk to school, count on the waterproof breathable protection of The North Face's HyVent material. The Torino Insulation Jacket includes a powder skirt for snowy days and a removable hood for nicer ones. A RECCO reflector may help ski patrol find your little one in the event of an avalanche.

Bottom Line: Zip your girl into the warmth and weather protection of The North Face Torino Insulated Jacket.

No, this shell is not zip-in compatible.True this jacket is not zip-in compatible but the North Face Denali Thermal Jacket or any other fleece jacket also makes a warm layering piece under this shell.

How cold is this jacket rated for? I recently purchased this for my daughter for Christmas, but it seems thinner than I had expected. I'm worried it's not going to be warm enough for a ND winter. Can you explain what the heatseeker insulation is?

On its own, it should be warm enough for temps as low as the teens. Throw a mid-weight fleece on underneath and you can go a bit lower, right around zero. If that's not gonna cut it, I'd get something in down.

I would stick with women's sizes if you are an adult and Girl's sizes if you are a child.
