The North Face Men’s Titan Jacket reigns supreme over wet weather and non-breathable outerwear. The North Face made this coat out of three-layer Hyvent fabric for ultimate waterproof, breathable performance. Full seam-taping rounds out the weather-proofing. The full-time adjustable hood, hem cinch cord, and hook-and-loop cuffs lock out wind and precipitation. The brushed collar lining protects your mug from chaffing and two hand pockets give you a place to warm your mitts or store your goodies. A slight cross-hatch pattern gives the jacket some added character.
Bottom Line: The Titan Jacket rules the Golden Age of technical outerwear.
I am 6'6", 230 and the XXL fits me perfectly, with a some extra room for layering. It is a good basic jacket, with two pockets to keep your hands busy and plenty of elastic to tighten it down when the weather gets rough. I got half-off from Department of Goods, not sure if it is worth the full 250, but overall, a very solid jacket.
I went into the North Face factory store and tried this jacket out. It fits great, feels very sturdy, and looks great too. I'm not sure what "Jason" is talking about in his review, but the jacket did not have any funky graphics on the material. The Hyvent fabric has a woven look to it that is quite stylish and the colored water proof zips look good too. I'm 6'2" 185lbs and I fit well in an XL. the XL left me just enough room to do some layering for colder weather. This jacket was also nice because it does't have any bells and whistles on the inside and has a brushed nylon interior. I would definitely recommend it.
I was eyeing this jacket for about two months, yet something inside of me told me not to buy it, so I held off. As it turns out I am quite pleased with myself for not wasting the money. I was at another store tonight and saw the jacket in person. Let me just say that it was pretty much the ugliest thing I have ever seen. The details of this jacket cannot be seen on the picture, so all I am saying is beware. There are little graphic design looking details all over the jacket, when it looks like one solid color in the picture. Now don't get me wrong. I no nothing of the technical aspects of this jacket, so it might very well get the job done, and that is all that matters right? Maybe! Sometimes you need to look good too, and this jacket will not accomplish that!
