The North Face Superlight Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Down

As its name suggests, The North Face Superlight 0F 600-fill Down Sleeping Bag weighs very little, about 3½ lbs (1660g). With an excellent warmth-to-weight ration, 600-fill down insulation keeps you warm in cold, wintry realms. The Superlight's silken lining feels soft on your skin and breathes for good ventilation. Its construction evenly distributes the down to prevent the insulation from shifting and causing cold spots. The usual North Face sleeping bag features apply, including an external pocket you stuff your down jacket in to make a pillow, a head-level watch pocket (great for hearing your alarm), and single-point cordlock for adjusting the seven chamber hood. Draft tubes throughout the sleeping bag seal in warmth. Store your Superlight in its nylon/mesh storage bag so the down doesn't lose its loft; pack it in its stuffsack when you're on the go in the backcountry.

Bottom Line: Super light for so much warmth.

How does this bag compare to TNF Snowshoe 0-degree synthetic

How does this bag compare to TNF Snowshoe 0-degree synthetic bag. Will either bag keep me warm on Mt. Killimanjaro?

Both bags will keep you warm on your Kilimanjaro trek. If you'll be carrying/packing your own gear instead of a porter, you'll appreciate a lighter load. Every ounce counts. TNF has been making the Superlight since the early 70's. A proven winner.

This bag is uber light. Very nice for that minimalist in you. Im 6'2" it fits me perfectly if you were much taller I would say that you need a longer bag. This bag work very well in the sierra's, its keep me comfortable and warm. I would recommend this bag for any hiker/camper.

The North Face Nova is filled with 800+ fill down, were this bag is 600 fill.Yes, 800 fill is much more expensive than 600 in that it is a higher quality down. Containing more fully developed down plumules and a higher percentage of pure down, 800 will be more compressible than 600. In general a 800 fill will also outlast a 600, maintaining its loft for longer.

This is a big, puffy bag but it compacts nicely. Light weight and warm.
