The Stuyvesant Slip On is just great for taking our dog on his daily walks in all kinds of weather. The easy on and off shoe is a real plus with no bending to tie laces or pull zippers! And of course they really keep my feet warm when the temperatures drop to the single digit F. readings! I bought them for convenience, but got a lot more than I expected!

Very good in the snow. Traction needs to be improved for ice.

These shoes are a complete waste of money. The soles are dead flat and inflexible, the last must be made for someone with very narrow feet, and the insulation is a joke, I was Very disappointed

I was in the market for a low-cut waterproof slip-on. I found another North Face design similar to this one at a local store. I tried it on and was thrilled with the fit. I took the leap of faith and ordered the Stuyvesant. It is up there with the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, with fantastic support for the heel and instep (thanks to the orthotic insole). The sole is very flexible, yet supportive and the foot opening is accommodating enough to allow for hands-free operation (i.e. step right in!) If guilty of anything, it doesn't breathe all that well and the insulation works quite well in conjunction to keep you feet quite warm over the course of the day, fine if you are strolling about outside...a bit overkill if you are sitting indoors. Over all, the comfort reigns supreme and this is a highly recommended buy!
