The North Face Storm Peak II Winter Boot - Men's - 2008

The North Face Men's Storm Peak Boot's three layers of technology keeps feet dry and warm on snowshoe trips and wet weather hikes. The softshell outer layer repels dirt, snow, and abrasion from rocks and roots, while breathable HydroSeal waterproof membrane blocks out all moisture. The third component is a 200g PrimaLoft Eco insulation layer—gram for gram the warmest wet-and-dry insulator available. The North Face lined the Storm Peak's tongue and collar with Dri-Lex fleece for moisture-wicking comfort, placed shock-absorbing midsoles above the temperature-sensitive Ice Pick outsole for secure grip, and inserted an antimicrobial footbed inside to keep your feet smelling fresh. Clip the Storm Peak's D-ring system to your gaiters when you head out on deep days.

Bottom Line: The waterproof, insulated Storm Peak Boot eats up slush and begs for another serving.

Good boots for walking through snow, slush, ect. Traction is good on most snow and slush, though not so good on just straight ice. Very warm, haven't had a problem with cold feet yet and I've walked walked through a good six inches of snow with them up here in Wisconsin. The boots are also great waterproof wise, I don't think I've had any moisture in them yet. Excellent comfort for the price.

Gary,That is a very tough size to find a boot for. Unfortunately you will not find anything from TNF that fits your foot or from most vendors. Are you looking for a winter boot? Mahalo, Sumo

Excellent boots, used twice in the mountains in Italy. Will keep your feet warm as long as you wear wool socks. Temperature in the campo felice mountains was under 21 and my feet stayed warm. Very confortable and light boots to wear, I will recommend them to anyone.

Storm Peak II

Best all around winter boot I have had, my feet were never cold, and always dry. The boot is light and easy to get in and out of all winter and spring. They hardly look worn after 4 months of wear. I want another pair of the same size for when they finally do wear out. Need a 9 1/2.

They're pretty true to size, but in this boot I'd actually bump up to a 10.

great boots

Light and comfortable--great fit. Much like wearing a sneaker. Hard to believe these boots are waterproof and comfort rated to -25F. Intersested to see how they stand up to winter hikes/snow shoe outings in the Adirondacks.
