The North Face Steep Tech Down Apogee Snorkel Jacket - Men's - 2007

The North Face Men's Steep Tech Down Apogee Snorkel Jacket is made for people who ski in the coldest conditions and still value style. The Apogee is built with rivets and burly materials in high-abrasion spots that lend it not only great endurance but also a unique look. The North Face uses goose down in place of a synthetic insulation, which lends unsurpassed warmth and a far more luxurious feel. The adjustable volume hood is lined with removable faux fur liner and the built-in belt holds it all together.

Bottom Line: Show the cold who's boss with the The North Face Steep Tech Down Apogee Snorkel Jacket.

The North Face Steep Tech Down Apogee Snorkel Jacket - Men's

Love it, I am happy to say that this is one of the best jackets I have ever purchased.

I am currently living in the Alps in Switzerland. Outside dropped to -10oC one night so I thought I would give my new jacket a test run, I decided to talk a walk around the resort. The snow was up to 8inches deep in some places and a moderate breeze really kept the temperature down. I Zipped myself inside and clipped the buckle around waste. As I reached the top of the village I tripped on black ice and slid some way on my back and elbows. When I came to a stop and stood up I inspected the jacket, there was not a mark on it. And other than a little bruised I was also fine.

This truly is a hard core jacket, plenty warm enough and the water proof breathable fabric is perfect for the job!

The only thing I would say is that the jacket is heavy and expensive but if you can cope with the weight, and your wallet with the cost and you need a jacket ready to deal with any thing you can throw at it, then this is the jacket for you.

This has to be the greatest winter coat ever. Durable, fashionable, comfortable, and warm. You can customize the fit with various drawstrings and the waist buckle. Think of this coat as the big boy's steep tech.My favorite feature on this coat are the font chest pockets where you can put your hands to keep them warm - or to look cool. This is the only jacket i will need for a long long time. It's like the ultimate winter coat.Waterproof and insulation with real down and not cotton balls- what more could you ask for in a coat? More than enough pockets and a convenient media player pocket that has a slit for the earphones to go through so they dont get wet. I dont think The North Face can top this one. The only reason this coat isnt a classic like the original steep tech is because of the hefty $600 price tag. Luckily I got it on sale for $360. Although i got it on sale, I wouldnt mind spending 600 on this coat because its worth every penny. Its better than paying 600 on a leather coat, right?

Disco Eskimo

Another Slam Dunk by Team Steep Tech. I was partying my A** off at BlackJacks in Whistler, drinking Whiskey Sours and Brain Hemmorages and I passed out in a snowbank trying to find the hotel...let me tell you, besides the frostbite on my toes I was fine...and the vomit came right off with a napkin from Taco Bell. This Jacket is bomber warm in addition to striking a nice balance between Eskimo and Euro-trash styling. Leave it to North Face to make gear that can hold up to my X-treme lifestyle.

I live in Minnesota where the temperature during the winter months can reach 15-20 belows zero with wind chills as low as 50 below. I decided that I was tired of freezing out there so I purchased this jacket. I have absolutely no regrets. The price was a little high, but well worth it. I would recommend this jacket to anyone
