The North Face Space Cowboy Board Short - Women's - 2008
Thanks to an 11-inch inseam, The North Face Women's Space Cowboy Board Shorts keep the sun off your thighs while you kayak on the lake or stroll along the beach. Boat seats and surfboards won't bother the Space Cowboy Board Shorts' abrasion-resistant polyester fabric, and the reed design on these boardies adds detail without going flowery.
Bottom Line: Float in or on top of the water with The North Face Space Cowboy Board Shorts.
These shorts are awesome! They fit great and felt true to size. The best thing is how quickly they dry. I was out in the water on what started out as a warm day, but then moved into a cloudy colder day, but I was not stuck in damp shorts thanks to how fast these guys dried. Did I mention that they are great looking as well and have great back pocket features!
probably good for kayaking, but not so great for surfing. size runs a little big, waistband a little stiff even after many sessions, draw cord doesn't stay tied through double knots, white waistband gets dirty easily, no key tie in pocket, just a zipper. nice shorts, just not surf shorts.
These shorts are very nice. Dry quickly and look great. They ran a little big on me (ordered my standard size and they were a little loose in the waist), but the drawcord fixed that problem.
I almost returned these. They run pretty small. And the top of these has a curve to it, so if your body doesn't curve the same way, it can sit a little funny. The long version sits at the top of the knee, the short, which I also own, comes about mid-thigh or a little higher (yes, they are a little short). I wear these sailing- very comfortable and they dry easily.
Does anyone know how wide the leg openings are? I find that it's tough to avoid the 'flare' in the thighs of women's clothing. -Perhaps someone that owns a pair? -Thanks, Runs with Pup
There is no flare. They fit pretty well and I have smallish thighs (especially toward the knees). Unless you buy them too big (they do run small), you should be fine.
These board shorts are perfect for outrigger canoing and other paddle sports because they are long enough to not ride up while paddling hard, they dry quickly and they have a zip pocket for my car key!!! That's a big help! Plus, they look good too.
I am a dude so I don't have personal experience with these (I guess those two facts aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, but just trust me, I don't have personal experience with these...), but, the reviewer Chacolex indicates they have back pockets. :)added by catiecoo: they've got 2 back pockets. both with flaps, 1 even with a zipper.
Cute looking shorts. The kelpie green is a bit lighter than the photo (brighter versus the muted color above). The shorts hit right about the knee. They're lightweight and dry quickly. I found them to run a size big. I'm 5'7", 130 lbs and normally wear an 8; but in these shorts the size 6 were a bit loose. Recommend them.
