Does the liner snap-in or is it zipped-in?

Hey - This jacket does zip in, but it still has snaps at the cuffs and back of neck as well.

The weather is starting to turn in northern Canada and so far this jacket has been great. It's very warm when you have the inside jacket zipped in and is pretty lightweight. Overall I would rate this jacket as an excellent purchase.

What's the difference between the Sonic, Vortex, Passport,

What's the difference between the Sonic, Vortex, Passport, and Immigration? I'm looking for Triclimate, Heetseeker, Removable hood. All 4 seem to be the same except for some styling. Anyone know?

The Sonic and the Vortex are geared toward snowsports such as skiing. They have snow skirts and lots of pockets. The passport and immigration jackets do not provide some of the extras, but are rather geared for cold weather travellers and more general/casual use. I purchased the immigration myself since I am not into snow sports and just need a good warm jacket for the cold Minnesota winters.

Yes it does come with a detachable hood. I received my jacket a few weeks ago. The picture is a little misleading as far as the hood goes.
