The North Face Socom Triclimate Jacket - Men's - 2008

A RECCO avalanche rescue reflector in The North Face Men's Socom Triclimate Jacket ups your chances of survival should you get caught in an in-bounds slide, and versatile 3-in-1 zip-in technology lets you wear the right jacket through a broad range of temperatures and conditions. Heatseeker insulation on the inner jacket keeps you warm, and fully-taped and a butt-load of pockets on the outer shell keep you dry and fully-stocked with supplies. The North Face was sure to include a powder skirt and pant-a-locks to keep snow from filling you from the inside.

Bottom Line: More practical than a high-speed quad.

Great jacket. Very warm. I live in Michigan and have already put it to good use. No avalanche's but the snow and the below 30 degree weather give it a good workout. Also this is a great price that backcountry has on this jacket for $263.16. Lowest price I could find on-line.

I am buying this as a gift- my boyfriend usually wears a medium shirt and jackets- he is 5'9 175 pounds. Would I want to get this jackets in a large as it will be primarily used for skiing and outdoor activities.

Absolutely love this jacket. Very warm with the liner in. Has a ton of pockets for all your gear/booze/stuffed animals. Great jackets for the winters in Missouri (not that it gets that cold, but I'm ready for a freak avalanche). Typical North Face quality (with your typical North Face price). Only downside to this thing is the 330.00 I dropped on it. No regrets though, girlfriend not to happy, but she'll get over it real quick.
