How is the water resistance with this jacket? I really like it but would like to know how it will holdup in the rain.

Before buying the Snoop, I checked around on various other websites and found no reviews whatsoever. Therefore, here goes: I'm constantly looking for that one universal coat that will do most everything but doesn't have that "expedition" look to it. The Snoop may be it. It has that casual town look about it and yet is as solid as can be. The soft shell will not easily tear or rip and the coat seems quite warm, though we are just now starting to get into colder weather. Next month, we will be traveling up north to Pa. and western New York state. I'll have a better chance to report on the warmth and water resistance. I'm 5'8" tall, weight about 175 lbs. The Snoop is a large and I find it to be a little loose just wearing a t shirt underneath. However, with appropriate layers as the weather cools down, it should be about right. I've been alternating between North Face and Mountain Hardwear and like this coat, especially with the hood quite a bit. I think its quite a bargain for the money and should match well with both jeans and city business attire.

I approve of this comment as I have just received the jacket from nordstrom. I tried it on and not only does it scream casual, it feels like a jacket made of great quality and strong durability. 5 stars from me.
