The North Face Ski Light Sock - Men's
Often the biggest conundrum in ski sock selection is whether to go padded/cushy/warm or ultralight/high-performance. The North Face Men's Ski Light Sock offers a happy compromise: a lightweight sock that provides technical interaction between your foot and your boot while keeping you cozy. The Ski Light Sock's blend of nylon, merino wool, and PrimaLoft fibers fits your foot like a glove (if feet wore gloves, anyway), providing insulation where it's needed, padding at impact points, and wicking when your slopeside skills really heat up. The sock's light, sleek fit gives you interference-free control.
Bottom Line: “I'm snug as a bug in a rug!” isn't the most masculine thing to shout out to your buddies in the backcountry on a sub-zero day, but your inner voices will be content keeping it to themselves.
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.
I would say they would be categorized as thin and not super bulky. They are pretty durable and my favorite sock in the TNF line. We have actually been using them for alpine climbing... this shot is from an attempt on mt meru in the Indian himalaya [conrad anker's feet]

I came across these last season window shopping on the internet for an alternative to my old method (thin polypropylene under cotton). Not necessarilly the best choice, so I picked up 8 pairs of these for this coming season.
I have yet to wear them in my ski boots but must say they are plenty warm and comfy hiking around town in my snow boots. There is thin padding in the heal, shin and toes that i'm sure will aid in ski boot comfort and long term wear.
I'll update this review after I get a couple laps in with them.
Ya, good stuff - very warm and comfy
I really have no complaints - you get what you pay for with these !!!
Change me.
