The North Face Scarycrow Pant - Men's - 2008

The North Face Men’s Scarycrow Pant sports a waterproof Gore-Tex shell and fully-taped seams so you can take on just about any terrain. The North Face outfitted the Scarycrow Pant with their Chimney Venting system to keep you from sweating when you’re shredding the backcountry. Pant-a-lock compatibility hooks up with your coat to keep snow from slipping in and a RECCO Avalanche rescue reflector keeps your mind on the perfect powder runs. Two cargo pockets hold your extra gear while the Scarycrow’s eerie embossed sheen keeps your edge at the lodge.

Bottom Line: The North Face Men’s Scarycrow Pant – frighteningly functional.

It must be an older model or else the pictures he posted or the pictures here on the site are very deceiving of the actual color.

If you are referring to the Recco reflector tag then yes. The Recco tags do not transmit anything they simply reflect back a signal.

Great Pant

Like anything North Face these pants are top notch. They fit true to size (I wear size 33w/34l and ordered the Mediums they fit perfect). Just the right amount of insulation on the pant to keep you warm on the cold days and not sweating on the warmer days, would probably need underlayer for the sub zero days.

Only complaints, I dont think I will ever use the upper pockets due to their location (too high and hard to get into especially with coat on), but thats ok thats what the cargo pockets are for, and thats what their coats have so many pockets in them for too. This isnt a problem with these pants but north face pants in general...I wish they had a snap ankle gaitor and also a lace hook on the front of the gaitor like some other brands do.

In conclusion, I will wear these pants for a few years now Ive finally found something that fits right and keeps me warm just right.
