The North Face ST Transformer Jacket - Men's

When you’re ready to morph from regular dude to steep-shredding shralpmaster, zip up The North Face Men’s ST Transformer Jacket. Designed in part by steep-skiing pioneer Scot Schmidt, the Transformer not only shields you from the abrasive elements with its HyVent shell fabric and reinforcement panels, but it stashes a day’s worth of essentials in its detachable daypack. The adjustable hem and waist-belt seal you off from powdery blasts, while the old school flair takes you back to the days of skinny skis.

Bottom Line: Much more than meets the eye.

I had purchased a TNF Agency jacket a few years back here, and that jacket has gotten me through some rough patches from the slopes to the cold winters in NYC. Im back in school now and the agency just a big hassle to put on for me, so i saw this new style from steeptech, and was wonder if it would be as warm as the Agency, since its much simpler. How warm will this keep me with the on coming winter mayhem that is approaching the usa as predicted, in the coming months?

I just bought this jacket, I used to have an agency but even in medium it was waaay too big. Got this one in a small and fits perfectly. It is thinner in my opinion than the agency (I returned it so I can't actually compare). At the same time it doesn't feel like I am wearing a parachute, so that's good. I think it's a more convenient jacket and I think it should hold up to the NYC winter (I live on Long Island). When it comes to extreme cold ie: below zero, I'm not sure if it will be very warm in that situation. I'll have to wait and see when winter comes.
