The North Face Roo Lumbar Pack - 180cu in

Throw your wallet, a digital camera, diary, and a small bottle of water into The North Face Roo Lumbar Pack and hike the hidden section of the Great Wall. An interior organizer secures your passport and phrasebook, while the winged hip-belt, breathable back panel, and a top handle ensure comfortable travels. A DWR finish withstands spring rains, and abrasion-resistant material protects your gear. Reflective hits save you from becoming roadkill. Carry the Roo Lumbar Pack as a small daypack on your travels through exotic locales—or your local trail network.

Bottom Line: The North Face Roo Lumbar Pack makes packing light a cinch.

Yes - around the waist. I would say that most people wear these packs on the back when they are using it in an outdoor setting, but many wear them on the front if they are in urban settings and need to keep on eye on valuables...

Great Lumbar Pack

By:
July 15, 2009

I use this pack for cycling and short hikes when I don't need to carry much gear. 180 cu. in. is plenty of room for my wallet, cell phone, multi-tool, small first aid kit, Clif bar, patch kit and tire lever (if cycling), inhaler, etc, with room to spare. To be honest, it's actually a little big for cycling, but perfect for short hikes when a lot of gear isn't needed.

Very well made, as most North Face products are. The straps work well to secure it to your body, and they don't loosen over time.

Anybody ever use this for a 3 Day?
I am looking for a lumbar pack to use for a Breast Cancer 3 Day. 60 miles in 3 days. Needs to be able to hold a camera, socks, sunblock and a few other odds and ends for one day at a time. Think this is big enough, but not too big?

Pam,Lumbar packs usually are used to describe packs that carry the load over the lower back (lumbar region) and clips in the front (hiking, running). Waist packs and fanny packs are more casual in function and carry the load in the front (shopping, traveling).Mahalo, Sumo
