The North Face Raceace Triclimate Jacket - Men's - 2008
The North Face gives you weather protection and plaid, all in one jacket. The Men’s Raceace Triclimate Jacket features waterproof breathable fabric, sealed seams, and a removable, insulated liner for coverage in various conditions. Wear the whole get-up when temps refuse to budge from “freakin’ cold” and snow is in the forecast. Just the liner could be the ticket on a cold but dry day. Wear the plaid shell alone when insulation will make you sweat, but the spring corn is getting soft or a flakes are falling. Loads of pockets on The North Face Raceace hold your goggles, pass, cash, cell, iPod, and other goods. A RECCO reflector might (MIGHT) help save your butt by helping ski patrol find you after an avalanche.
Bottom Line: The Raceace: for wild days on the mountain.
This jacket is both beautifully designed and very well engineered. For my liking the liner and shell should only be worn together when its below 35 degrees, which is fine. The Triclimate line of jackets, with their removable liners, offer an almost unlimited number of layering options. To make things even better, I ordered this jacket from backcountry on a Sunday afternoon and by the following Tuesday evening I was wearing my new coat!
