We foresee one shoe ruling your summer--The North Face Women’s Prophecy II Hiking Shoe. And seriously, no hocus pocus here—experience just tells us that such a lightweight, supportive, breathable, grippy shoe will just fit the bill for most hikes, scrambles, light backpacking, and running. And the Prophecy II Shoe’s sleek uppers, comfy mesh ventilation, and ergonomic Northotic footbeds feel so easy on the feet that you’ll even slip them on for a casual Sunday walk.
Bottom Line: Comfortable, multi-sport shoes. They’re your destiny. Don’t fight it.
This shoe is super comfy and true to size. I have read that it is too narrow but I didn't think so. But I also have a fairly narrow foot so this could be the reason. However on my very first wear, I took these babies out on a very rigorous 8 mile, 5 hour hike and the rubber part on the front right toe started peeling back after like hour 3. By time the hike was over the rubber had completely separated from the front part. I called Backcountry the very next day to let them know. And eventhough I trekked through mud, rivers, heavy brush, and the shoes looked like they had been through it and back, Backcountry still let me return them for a new pair. They send me a free return shipping label, and had my new pair to me within 3 business days. I was very impressed. I have since wore these shoes on similar hikes and they are fairing well. I highly recommend this shoe.
I love the look of this shoes, and I like Northface shoes - they seem to be the only ones which don't make my feet sweat. This one however was to narrow in the front and cramped in my toes. Usually with size 9 I have plenty of toe room. Great service and nice people at backcountry.com
Great shoe. Love it. Excellent traction ... almost too good. The only thing ... I wish I would have ordered a half-size down. The shoe is just a teeny bit larger than my normal size 9.
I am very picky about shoes and was nervous about buying them over the internet. At this price, free shipping and reasonable returns I figured I would give them a try. I am so very happy that I did. They fit perfect, the green is not so intense and looks very nice on, the soles are wonderful and I am so excited about the rubber toe plate to protect my toes when I get tired and kick a rock. I did 10 slower miles on the tredmill the first day I got them and this morning did a 9.6 mile very rocky trail run. These are outstanding shoes. As for this company-on a scale of 1-10 they are and 11. By the time I looked into tracking my package they were at my door. Thanks so much.
