The North Face Prism Optimus WP Bootie - Men's - 2008

Sure it's warm inside the wood-burning-stove-heated yurt, but that outhouse is at least forty yards away, and it's FREEZING outside. Pull on The North Face Men's Prism Optimus WP Bootie, a heavy down parka, and make the long midnight trek to the latrine. Thick Primaloft insulation keeps your feet warm, and waterproof HydroSeal membranes in these The North Face booties make sure no moisture penetrates. Temperature-sensitive rubber lugs increase traction the icier it gets outside, so don't worry about slipping headfirst into the wall of snow that lines the path and not being discovered until the spring melt.

Bottom Line: Forget the TP back at the yurt? Looks like you'll be resorting to the snowcone technique.

These run pretty true to size. If you're in an 11 1/2 I'd recommend to bump up to a 12. A little extra room in these boots is not a bad thing to have.

Hey Shaz,These boots should be just fine for him. They're not overly restrictive so different foot widths will be totally okay.

Not bad. Personal preference but I'd check out the Sorel Caribou's. They'll handle extreme conditions but last a really long time.Hope that helps.
