The North Face Pluto Hill Zip Mock Pullover - Men's - 2008
The North Face Pluto Hill Pullover has a smooth face for easy layering, and a brushed grid backing that manages moisture during heavy activity. The zip mock neck either blocks cold drafts or dumps excess heat, depending on how you wear it. Throw the Pluto Hill on for trail running in the fall, cross-training in the spring, or as a bomber baselayer top during ski season.
Lightweight, water-resistant, true-to-size. The only thing I could ask for is a waist cinch cord, but that is certainly nonessential. All around a great buy.
Hi, My brother lives in the Colorado, and does not have access too Dept. Stores. He asked for Long Underware for Christmas. Is this right for the cold weather, he works construcion. He also likes nice brands! Can you help, I don't want to spend a major amount on just his underware!
Hi Laurie, this website usually does a good job with the descriptions and I find the reviews really helpful (since those people aren't trying to sell you anything!). This looks like it's not true "long underwear" but a good layering shirt. I haven't bought this shirt yet but I think it will be a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who lives in the mountains here in Colorado. They also have an outlet site (backcountryoutlet.com). Rupicolous -(This is definitly not an "underwear" item, more like an outer shell. If you want thermo's look at the "middle weight" merino wool products from The North Face.)
I wasn't sure how "midweight" this jacket was going to be. I had tried one on at The North Face store in Boise a while back but couldn't remember quite how it felt. Now that I finally have one, I love it! It is a perfect layering piece for cold Pacific Northwest hikes (under my NF Bionic jacket) or great on it's own on a warmer day. The monkey thumb holes fit well and provide good warmth for my hands. A cinch cord at the waist might be helpful but I haven't had a need for it yet. The DWR coating is very helpful on misty mornings also. This is good one. I strongly recommend it.
I really like the fit, and the heat it holds in, especially skiing the winter days I'm Jackson. Thumb holes work well if your arms aren't to long. Just another quality item from North Face.
