The North Face Mountain Sneaker - Women's

The eco-friendly The North Face Women's Mountain Sneaker uses earthy ideals to provide a heavenly fit and minimal footprint. A forty-percent post-consumer recycled rubber outsole and cork EVA midsole offer organic comfort as a bamboo shank provides support and stability. The North Face uses plant cellulose fiber in the sock liner and heel cushion to replace synthetic materials, and a crepe toe cap and heel cup to offer form and protection.

Bottom Line: A shoe for those who walk the walk.

TNF kicks

So far so good... Generally really comfortable. Little bit of rubbing on one heel but, this is to be expected as they are new. Fit is true to chart.

Cute & Comfy

These shoes are really adorable, and work well as town sneakers. I have really high arches, and these shoes don't have much in the way of support, but I don't generally expect town sneaks to have much. These are comfortable anyway, and I have no problem wearing them all day, even walking most of the day. They have a burly sole, stiffer than a usual town shoe, that makes them a little heavier, but a little more versatile, better for cruiser bike rides and the such. I'm pleased with them as a whole.

They aren't insulated, they are meant to be used as off the mountain lifestyle shoes. There's a little more information at http://www.thenorthface.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=10962&storeId=207&catalogId=10201&langId=-1&from=subCat&parent_category_rn=11723&variationId=F01

Not worth it in the end

By:

Yeah--I loved them initially. Cute...I thought.
But just not comfortable. I wore them to work a couple of times..then just ended up giving them away.

I've had my eye on these for quite a while and finally bought them; I have the red.
I like these mountain sneaks. They fit well, look good w/ jeans and w/ khakis at work.
Not quite as comfortable as Keens because they don't have the support, but I like them none-the-less.

not normal shoes

If you think that these might be some lounge around overpriced TNF shoes you are saddly mistaken. North face went above and beyond when they created these shoes, I actually wouldnt even call them sneakers because they kick all of my other shoes asses. They have the performance of boots but in a sneaker with climbing laces. Lets start with the sole - They are super ridged so when your climbing or running around in the woods your arch doesn't get all jacked up. They arent really breathable, but whatever they are sturdy as hell. The lacing is a little lower kinda like climbing shoes so it gives you extra control. I have been eyeing up these shoes for months and when I saw them drop in price I had to try them out. It was worth the wait and TNF has come a long way in shoe construction since I bought a pair of trail running shoes 6 years ago. Great Great quality, I highly suggest these!

I like them

Right out of the box I put them on and out the door I went. They are cute, go well with jeans and I like the eco friendly side of them. They felt true to size with ordinary socks on. Nice casual shoes.

I love these shoes! The inside lining is soft and cozy. The Mountain sneaker is the right combo of cushy and supportive. I love the bright color too.
