The North Face Moraine 33 Bx Tent 3-Person 3-Season - 2008
The North Face Moraine 33 3-Person 3-Season Tent's great ventilation and roomy construction help you stay on your buddies' good side. Keep Dutch-ovens limited to your sleeping bag and let your companions sleep in peace. This three-person, three-season tent's excellent ventilation ensures any noxious fumes escaping from your bag will quickly diffuse into the night air. The Moraine's two doors keep you separated when nerves are on end. The opposite vestibules prevent your stinky boots from infringing upon your friend's freeze-dried-pasta-surprise. The Moraine 33's simple color-coded fly and canopy design make set-up a breeze, meaning no more temper tantrums at the end of a long hike. When you finally do get cozy, the roomy interior minimizes rogue elbows and wandering feet, while the internal pockets and hanging loops ensure your necessities stay on your side.
Bottom Line: The North Face Moraine 33 is a spacious, lightweight tent that keeps conflicts low and spirits high.
The shape is odd looking on the outside but makes it nice and roomy inside. The first time setting it up was tricky but just remember the gray pole goes across the front and the gray tab on the rain fly matches up with the gray tab on the tent you should be good to go. It held up in the wind and vented well in the heat of summer weather.
I just got Th North Face Moraine 33 in the mail and i went down to my basement to set it up. Once i unpackaged it there were 3 golden rods instead of 2 golden and one gray; however, i set up the tent with no problem. Once i got to the rain fly, i could not figure out how it went on and i read in another comment that you attach the gray strap to the gray poll. Dose this really matter or should i still be able to set it up?
Depends on the length. As long as the 3rd gold pole is the same length as what the gray pole was suppose to be there should be no worries. Doesn't happen very often but maybe TNF made a bit of a booboo.Hope that helps.
Really nice tent overall. I used it once in wind and rain with a temperature of about +2C and with the fly on it stayed relatively warm inside and completely dry. Very happy with the performance. It's an odd shaped tent but sets up easy.
