Let me preface this by saying that I've had both Sorel Badgers and The North Face Chilkats. Both were returned for comfort issues. These boots, however, keep my feet incredibly warm and work wonderfully both for snowshoeing and just shoveling the driveway. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever had. They offer great support and are warm enough to fight off the cold and frostbite.

They have been wonderful. Great for winter hiking- they keep my feet warm and dry.

These boots are great from anything from snowshoeing to playing in the snow. They are the most comfortable boots I've worn yet.

I took a hike to a frozen cave, and completely soaked my foot by stepping through the ice while wearing these. Despite the mile plus hike back - my foot was still warm when I got back to the car.

These keep your feet nice and toasty even in the VERY cold weather. My toes are always cold in the snow, and these are the answer for those of you who need something warm and comfortable!

I've heard a lot of good things about these boots; however, I will not buy them b/c of the terrible choice of colors. Why can't manufacturers make more gender neutral boots?!

These boots are the best! With a thin pair of wool socks, my feet were toasty warm! And, I get frostbite at work!!!

I needed a good snow boot for snowshoeing and winter walking. My other requirement was a wide and stiff toe box to accomodate a neuroma (forefoot issue).

These are a great combination to fit these needs. They feel kind of springy with the NF insole, but with my orthotics they don't feel as bouncy.
Only nit is they aren't much higher than hiking boots and I don't think as warm as the 0 degree boots I've seen for men.

They are indeed highly insulated and really warm. I wear them around town like tennis shoes when wet and snowy.

The colors are ridiculous. I want these boots because they have this WARM factor, but, what were they thinking? Please reorder the brown/pink as they are passable, but really. Who needs white back packing shoes????

These shoes provide a nice dry protected atmoshphere, and are also comfortable once you wear them a few times. However, if warmth is what you're after, I do not recommend these boots. Despite their -40 degree rating, my toes can be found cold and numb on 30 degree days (and even worse on 0 degree days when you want warmth the most). I have always trusted the North Face brand, and have never been disapointed until now.
