If you want a sporty lightweight (but not warm) coat this will do the job. With some caveats. I read the reviews and based on them ordered a size up from my size. On most websites this would have done the job. For this product I needed to order up two sizes. As everyone said the coat was tight in the armholes. And I agree that the material, while clearly up to the job, feels and sounds more sporty. I was looking for a bit dressier coat. Lastly, this is purely a raincoat. It will NOT keep you warm. I had bought another brand with a liner and took them both out to compare. Brand X was clearly warmer and the fabric didn't "whoosh" every time I moved. This coat is being returned.

I am 5'6", usually wear M size (chest 37"). Ordered L. It looks pretty good, stylish, fits right at the chest and hips. Sleeves, however, are too long and tight around armpits and upper arms - cannot put on much layering, only light fleece or light sweater. Did not have a chance to test it in the rain.
Still thinking of returning it.

I loved the Kelly Trench, but I have a long torso and the belt was sitting on my rib cage. I am only 5'8".

I finally got my hands on the Kelly jacket to see how it feels and fits. It is a step up from the unlined Grace. It has a lining which might keep me a bit warmer and it has more of a trench coat feel to it. No velcro to snag your fleece and sweaters. I tried on the large. I am 5'8" and it hit me way long in the calf - good for rain protection. I am considering this product or the NorthFace K which is shorter. Seeing the Kelly definitely made me take the Grace out of consideration.

I went through hell and back trying to find this coat, so thank you first to BackCountry for having it!! I'd called almost every North Face store in North America and their service left a lot to be desired.

The coat is beautiful. It is 100% waterproof (tried and tested and passed!!), and it keeps me remarkably warm considering it doesn't have a fleecy inner lining. The length of it is so good in the rainy weather - it comes down to mid-shin.

The sleevs are a little long, but the the cuff adjustors, I'm able to tighten it to sit well - and the long sleevs come in handy if I forogt my gloves!!

Purchased the Kelly in Black. It is great city trench for the rain. Fits very slim, can only use a minimum of layering for cooler weather. It is so stylish, I purchased a second Kelly in Vintage White for the spring rains.

It is comfortable, stylish, breathable and protects well against the rain - what more do you want from a trench? I like it a lot and it fits well :-)

love the long skirt and sleeves (I´m 5'11" and sleeves fit). I tried the L on in a store and it fit perfectly but with no room for sweaters so I ordered the XL online. The cut is trim, not sloppy, and with the belt tied it creates a great silhouette. I bought this for winter business travel because the cut of the shoulders allows for much more freedom of movement than a normal dress coat. it is quite light and packs down small. it keeps out wind and rain like a champ. fully lined, big pockets and a handy inside pocket.the only drawback is that it is NOISY! if you're used to the whish-whish of a mountain parka shell then the noise won't bother you.
