The North Face Insulated Larusso Jacket - Boys' - 2008

It says insulated so it most-likely has Primaloft or another insulator to keep your kids warm on the slopes. No fleece jacket involved with this coat. Look for jackets that say 3 in 1 because they probably have a shell, a fleece and a vest, which you can zip apart for separate use. Have fun in Maine!

I purchased this for my 12 yr old son, who is average sized, in a large and had to return it to size up. No issues with returning it to Backcountry. The jacket itself is fairly thin. Good for end of winter, early spring but definitely not a dead-of-winter jacket. For winter NEEDS a layer underneath. Most North Face kids jackets need a size up in my experience.

Powder skirt is a stretchy band around the inside of the jacket too keep snow out. Like a gaiter for your waist. And there is a drawstring around the bottom.

I bought this for my 7 year old son. I highly recommend it. It keeps him very warm without being too bulky. Tested it out with our first snow storm last week - worked great - stayed completely dry and warm.

This is a great jacket, lightweight yet warm. My son really likes
it because he can move around easily in it. We haven't tested the powder
skirt yet, but it looks like it will work great!
