is this pack waterproof? I'm looking for something to pack

is this pack waterproof? I'm looking for something to pack to work when i bike in the rain or shine. So if its pouring outside i need to be sure the pack i have will keep the water out away from my laptop.

Like most everyday daypacks, this is water-resistant and not waterproof. If it is really important to find one that is more waterproof, I would also check out the technical daypack section:

Some of these packs are constructed to do better in the elements (but they won't have as many pockets or organizational features). Better yet, some technical daypacks come with a built-in rain fly.

Very nice back pack not quite as big as i anticipated but it will hold a lot i think its a bit skinnier and longer rather than as wide as i had initially anticipated but still an awesome pack to carry everything including your laptop. I carry a 14.1 inch work laptop and it has tons of space to spare i know my 15 inch fits nicely but i dont think a 17 inch laptop will fit in this those are pretty huge. all around a great day pack/ work load carrier.

My question is how big is this the laptop compartment of the Hot Shot Backpack backpack.
I am asking you this question because my laptop it's an 18,4 inch HP hdx, so being an 16:9 ratio means it's wider than a 17 inches one but I belive it has the same width. These informations are very important for me if anybody can help me pls. Thank you.

The Hot Shot is my day-to-day work bag. Granted I'm not the desk-jockey type, but my laptop, work documents, kleen kanteen and post-work trail runners all happily call the hot shot home. I also find myself grabbing it more often than not for mild to moderate day hikes.
