open sores on my feet

the sandals feel great once the open sores turn to calluses. i've had them for a month and they are still rubbing me the wrong way. DO NOT get in the water, softening your feet, and put these on until they have been worn for a month or two.

and i really like them, seriously, besides the rough start. they are eventually and ultimately very comfortable.

Nice Sandal

The Hiawatha Sandal was a little tough on my instep at first, but it broke in easily and was very comfortable afterward. I purchased the Tan/Gum color scheme, and it was lighter than I expected from the picture, but it still looks great. It's a high quality build, and I definitely recommend them.

Not really. The straps are full grain leather so continued exposure to water will ruin the leather.

The Hiawatha Sandal is a great buy. I agree with some of the other reviews that the instep took a little breaking in, but what footwear doesn't. After a half day of wearing them, they felt great.

The sandles are very nice and fasionable. The thing I like most about them is that they are very versitle and repel water and other liquids very well. I've had them for a few weeks and have already taken them fishing, walking, through mud, water, drinks and the shoe has held up great!

Good sandals

This is my 2nd pair of North Face sandals and I love them. I have sweaty feet, so I need a soft footbed that can absorb some moisture instead of becoming slippery, and these are perfect. I'm going to buy a pair in brown next!
