Ideal for jumping off roofs, getting in snowball fights, and sledding. Its awesome to slip into this thing and remember how warm and dry a one-piece suit keep you while you're riding. So nice on pow days. And I detach the jacket to rock by itself too.

Are the top and the bottom the same color? Does it look like

Are the top and the bottom the same color? Does it look like a one piece or more like two?

The top and the bottom are different colors, up top I think it is venetian orange and down low is rubix red. So while it is a one piece it looks like two.

return of the One piece

One-piece suits are officially back. The North Face is responsible for the best-looking, feeling, one out there. The Halo suit can be unzipped so you can still wear your jacket when its time to go out on the town. A unique design makes the suit appear to be two pieces eliminating the dorky look, but keeping the benefits of an enclosed suit. You stay warm, feel super free, (sometimes feels like your skiing around in your boxers and a tee) and keep the snow out of your pants no matter how many times you roll in the snow.

Good suit with a missing drawstring

By:

Only thing missing is a drawstring or something to tighten the pants when you take the jacket off in the lodge. It's hot in the lodge and I don't want to wear the jacket while I eat but the pants fall down without the jacket.

I own a Northface Steep Tech snow suit I bought back in 1994. It's held up over the last 15 years, but wear and tear started to prompt me to look for a new one. What I can't figure out is why Northface just didn't continue with that model.

Soooo, there's lots of features I like; like a lot of pockets. But, there's still this annoying feature of trying to get the pants and top to fit. If I get a snowsuit that fits the upper body, the crotch of the legs hangs about eight inches below, well, mine. If I get the pants to fit; that is to have the suit's crotch and mine match better, the top is too small.

There's also a potential leak where the zipper that attaches the pants to the top and the zipper for the front of the jacket.

I know, by skiing, I'm so uncool to appreciate the loose snowboarder features of said suit.
