The North Face Geographica Jacket - Women's - 2008
Whether you take a stroll through the woods or head downtown to meet friends for coffee, The North Face Women's wind-resistant Geographica Jacket keeps you dry and warm. The Geographica Jacket's light polyester lining adds a bit of warmth, and The North Face's antimicrobial element in the softshell fabric keeps things smelling rosy. Stash your music player in the internal media pocket and listen to your favorite tunes on the go. A chest pocket and four front hand pockets store your keys and wallet so you can leave your purse at home.
Bottom Line: Pull on The North Face Geographica Jacket and stay warm as you nip across campus, across town, or across the country.
I agree with the sizing being off. I had to return it for a larger size. It's definitely a jacket you can use to go out and it's a nicer alternative to wearing a big puffy sports jacket to dinner or something. The jacket fits nicely around the torso, but it's a bit longer in the arms... proportionally.
Good North Face quality, but the fit is quite snug through the torso. The sleeves are nice and long. I usually wear small in North Face gear, but need to size up if I want to wear a sweater underneath this jacket.
Fabulous jacket, but the sizing is way off!!!! I'm usually an XS in TNF; the XS in this jacket fit like a tailored, fitted shirt. So, while the jacket is very flattering and has great features, I absolutely could not have comfortably worn a winter weight sweater underneath it. Also, a way to improve the jacket would have been to put a reversible zipper in it, so one could open the bottom while sitting/driving. I'll try the next size up. I wish TNF made more everyday styles like this!
I love this jacket! I am 5'8" and thin making good fits hard to come by, yet it still fits pretty well (I have a small). Could be longer in the torso but oh-well. Has 8 pockets all together, pleasant surprise. I get compliments on it all the time. Fights wind well, I wear it on days ranging from 25-40 F.
Sharp jacket, blazer like feel, but if you try to zip up you better have no chest or waist. This is a snug jacket, nice long arm length... definitely no sweaters underneath if you plan on bending at all.
the picture is decieving, it makes this jacket look longer than it really is. When I got it out of the package I thought it was folded in half that's how much shorter it was. I sent it back.
