The North Face Women’s Geo Mesh Basin Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt takes a VaporWick polyester hoody and transforms it into a UV-resistant, breathable layer for your backpacking and hiking adventures. Ultraviolet protection (UPF 30) helps block harmful sun rays and mesh side panels give your excess heat an out so it doesn’t turn into sweat. Thumbholes keep the sleeves down when you layer a weatherproof shell over the Geo Mesh.

I normally wear a large in North Face gear and the large size in this hoodie fits me perfectly.

I am at the other end of the spectrum and i typically wear a size large in North Face clothes. the large size in this hoodie fit me perfectly so i would presume that it does not run small.

This is a great zip-up if you use it for what it's meant for (i.e. layering) - the thumbholes are ingenius as well. Because it's a layering piece, it's quite fitted, although true to size - just don't expect to use it as a light jacket and be able to fit bulky sleeves underneath it. Great piece!
