The North Face Furallure Down Jacket - Women's - 2008

Water-resistant HyVent 2L fabric, 600-fill down, and faux fur on the removable hood combine to create The North Face Women's Furallure Down Jacket. This puffy is street smart and ready for the slopes. The Furallure Jacket's hood and faux fur trim are both detachable, allowing you to add and subtract to meet the weather and the occasion. Rib knit along the hem and cuffs seals out the elements, and a goggle cloth in the wrist accessory pocket wipes your goggles or shades clean.

Bottom Line: Don't resist the pull of the Furallure.

Almost Perfect

By:
November 16, 2009

This jacket keeps me plenty warm. The coldest temperature I've worn it was about mid-20's. I hate being cold and this jacket kept me warm. I love the vibrant blue color and contrasting white. My only grief is the large collar with white interior lining that touches my face. Most females wear makeup, which will rub off and quickly dirty the collar. My only solution so far, is a scarf buffer.

LOVE THIS COAT!

By:
December 29, 2008

I totally love this coat! It is soooo cute, and very toasty! I was getting ready to leave a Christmas I had attended then got stuck talking inside for a few min. I had to either leave or take the coat off I was so warm with the down inside. I have also been keeping the warmest outside in our below 0 weather we have been having here. I am 5"11' and this coat does not seem to short the length is perfect for me, it keeps me warm, and very stylish... what more could you ask for? Love it. Love it. Now just need to find the perfect warm gloves and I will be ready for winter games!
I bought the Furallure North Face coat and the Nuptse II fur lined North Face boots. I used the online chat now with a real person option instead of calling and he was totally AWSOME! He was very nice and very helpful. Both of these items fit perfect to the size. I chose back country because my boyfriend referred them to me and I was totally excited that he did. They were great!
I had a little problem with the shipping that was not their fault. The online chat guy ( I can not remember his name I was in a hurry when I talked to him, and I wish I could remember his name because he was great!) said since I live in Iowa it should take a week to get to me. Then I got an email from ups (like he said I would) to track my package. (Now this is the coolest thing) UPS told me it would be here Dec 23rd. I got an email from back country telling me there was a problem with my shipping telling me to check my UPS tracking! I checked it and it was due to weather, it was stuck in Des Moines from an ice storm that previous night. It was only a day late. I have NEVER had a company be that worried about me after they shipped my item. UPS never contacted me on the problem it was back country! Do not buy your North Face gear from anyone else buy from them! They even matched prices from other websites. I just had to give them the website I found it at and they matched the price if it was lower. They are a great company and totally back their word! I will never shop online anywhere else when looking for outdoor gear! They are the best!
Now how many of you were waiting for a package and days or weeks later it still wasn't there? I have never had a company personally contact me in any way to tell me there was a delay in my shipping.
Thank you Back Country, and the helpful online chat guy (I think it was Steve but not totally sure) You have been great and I will be back. Plus send all my friends looking for gear.
Thank you tons...Jennifer McColley LMT

Alaska winter

By:
November 5, 2008

This is well worth buying. I'm 5" 110 pounds and i think its perfect for petite women. I decided on a small/blk and it fits perfectly. Great for Alaska winter weather, the collar works well, keeping my face wind blocked. Love the hood, keeps me toasty. I was expecting more faux fur tho. This winter coat is high quality and well worth it, its going to last me alot of cold winters. Its not puffy like most down coats.

Warm, but uncomfortable

By:
March 18, 2009

The body of this jacket is warm & it is nice to have the hood, but the arms felt cold & the area of the arm pit was uncomfortable. It kept poking my arm pits, so I would sweat a lot. That was so annoying!! I traded it in for a Tempest Down.....LOVE IT!!!

Beautiful Jacket...But TOO Short

By:
February 17, 2009

Loved the color and the specs...nice warm factor...but it is TOO short, I am 5'2 and i bought the Medium, and it was too short, plus the elastic waist band kept ridding up so I had to constantly pull it down...

Great Ski Coat

By:
January 14, 2009

I love this coat. I wore it skiing and it is very warm. I am 5'6" and weigh 125 and it fits just right. The arms feel a little long but look fine. The coat is not too puffy because it keeps you warm. Great fur hood. I ordered a medium.

Very trendy but too short

By:
December 18, 2008

I have this jacket and I do like it a lot, but there are some things that don't work. Too short for its wieth. The jacket is really puffy so it looks a little funny being so short. You have to pull it down all the time. I'm 5'5 138 lbs and I ended up getting a small. (the med made me feel huge and was too much room in the chest.) It's really warm and cozy all except the draft of freezing air on your lover back. Not the best design for that reason. I found that layering a long sleve that is long in the waste helps a lot for me. I give it a c+ in function and an A for looks.

Love it!

By:

I at 5' 3" tall and bought the large. It fits great! The bottom of the jacket hits right below my hips. I love how the band at the bottom stays tight to keep out the cold. I live in Iowa with freezing winds and this jacket stops the wind great! So glad I took the plunge to get it. And I also get compliments all the time - which is a nice bonus! :)
