The North Face Fortress Peak GTX Hiking Boot - Women's - 2007

The North Face Women's Fortress Peak GTX combines old-school style and simplicity with new materials and construction. You'll get all this plus a women's-specific last so they'll fit like a dream. The one-piece waterproof full-grain leather upper is seam sealed and lined with a Gore-Tex membrane to make sure your feet stay dry on the wettest October hikes. The Fortress Peak GTX is also has a rubber toecap to protect against abrasion and AgION anti-microbial lining to cut down on odor. The Exclusive Vibram outsole TPU shank plate provides all the support you need for a weeklong backpacking trip and has articulated forefoot flex notches so you can walk more naturally.

I'm interested in purchasing North Face backpacking boots

I'm interested in purchasing North Face backpacking boots but, I'm wondering about sizing. I'm a 10 in sneakers and North Face hiking shoes. I've heard you have to size up for backpacking boots. Is this true?

I just bought these boots and I love them, wore them up to the Olympics in Wa and they worked perfect, they fit perfectly, they kept my feet dry, and were true to fit. The only problem I had with them is when they got wet they stained the fabric with wet stains not sure if they are suppose to do that, but hey I guess it gives that heavy worn look lol. I would recommend these to any one that wants a good hiking boot and that is good in water and snow!! Looks good as casual wear also!!

I bought a pair of these boots and I love the fact that they are completely waterproof, no matter how hard is raining or how wet the road is, your feet will be dry all the time. I did an ATV tour last year and they got all muddy, so a guy took one of those high pressure hose and spray a lot of water on them (I was still wearing them) and they didn't got wet inside, it was amazing. Also, they are very comfortable! I love them!!
