The North Face Cotopaxi Parka - Men's - 2006

When the temperature plummets in Boston and snowstorms hit the Midwest, The North Face Men's Cotopaxi Parka will keep you warm. This 550-fill down jacket has a wool/nylon shell with HyVent coating to keep the snow and water on the outside and keep you warm on the inside without making you look like you just got back from Colorado. You can detach the fur lining from the insulated hood or take off the entire hood in more mild temps—you know, when you can still see your breath but the pipes aren't freezing.

Bottom Line: Warm jacket for cold days.

Best dog walking coat possible.

Well, perhaps you can imagine something better for late night dog walking, but I suspect you'd have to be living in Canada's Northwest Territories before you'd have need of it. After a recent move from southern California to southeastern Wisconsin, I needed a coat that would keep me warm in sub-zero conditions on multi-mile, late-night walks. The Cotopaxi Parka is it. It's comfortable, profoundly warm on -15 evenings, and handsome to boot.

This coat is great for living in cold weather. It keeps you warm and don't feel like you are wearing something that should be on the summit of some mountain. It feels great on and looks good.
