Multi-functional!

I had previously bought the regular crew version of this hoody and was thoroughly impressed, so buying this hoody version wasn't a difficult decision. I was not dissapointed. The cut of this hoody is great and the warmth and weight makes it a great layer for the backcountry.

Size running small

I have one North Face hoody and two fleeces that are all large. I ordered two of these in Large and the are pretty tight. The sizing for these is running a little small.

A bit light weight

This is a normally well made Northface product and the size is correct. However, it is lighter weight than I anticipated. You really need a 200 weight Polartech to get much warmth. This is essentially only meant for layering - where you don't really want a hood on the inner layer. Too bad the site doesn't make this clearer in it's descriptions. More often than not they are not clear on these things.
