The North Face Caribou Down Jacket - Men's

When it comes to staying warm in freezing temperatures and harsh climates, caribou seem to have it pretty figured out. The North Face took a cue from these majestic land-mammals when designing the Men’s Caribou Down Jacket. A water-repellent coat and lots of insulation do the trick for the reindeer-of-the-tundra, and guess what? They work here, too. The North Face started with a waterproof breathable HyVent 2L shell, sealed the seams, and added 500-fill goose down insulation to melt the freezingness before it reaches your soft, fragile body. Tons of stash space gives you an advantage over the pocketless beasts of the Arctic.

Bottom Line: If you caribout staying warm, wear this down jacket.

Great winter coat, probably not for Mt. everest but not as bulky, I don't feel like George Costansa in a wine shop. As always backcountry is the best. As is Northface

The hood is fixed on this jacket. It runs a little larger than the Nuptse, but I probably wouldn't downsize because it is more of a lifestyle type of jacket-
