The North Face Bullfrog 23 2-Person 3-Season - 2007

The North Face Bullfrog 23 Tent houses two of you in the backcountry from spring to fall. Ideal for your sweet spot at the campground and light enough to take backpacking, this tent offers versatility. The North Face Bullfrog's 15K-rated waterproof fly fends off spring rains and summer thunderstorms, and the water-resistant floor ensures your sleeping gear stays dry if the ground is damp. On bluebird days, take off the fly and let the breeze—but not the bugs—flow through this tent's mesh windows. If the breeze turns into a strong wind, stake down the freestanding Bullfrog 23 Tent.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for a versatile three-season tent, The North Face Bullfrog 23 fills the bill.

Uploaded a pic of the fly. See it somewhere on this page, wherever the automatic electronic arts folks decided to place it.

Will this tent be roomy enough for 2 guys and their gear for a weeklong canoeing trip? Last year, my brother's tadpole was a bit tight...

This will be 4 inches wider and 1 inch shorter than your brothers tent. To tight for my taste, but I have wide shoulders.

I have an older-style bullfrog from around 1998-2000, does the Bullfrog 23 footprint fit my original bullfrog? Also, anyone have the advertised weight on the original bullfrog? In its compression sack with stakes, fly, etc. it weighs in at just under 5.5lbs on my scale. Thanks,Bryan

This is a win-win for you. As long as the dimensions ate the same it will work. If not you have a great ground cloth. The original weight was advertised @ 6lbs. 2oz. You're doing good!

Why is the smaller Bullfrog 23 at "23 s.f." more expensive

Why is the smaller Bullfrog 23 at "23 s.f." more expensive than the Tadpole 23 at "35 s.f."? Weight difference shows the Bullfrog is lighter by 2 oz and uses the same fabrics: 40D 240T canopy, 33D 244T fly, 79D 210T floor. Does the Bullfrog simply have less mesh and more tent solid body for 4-season warmth?

Good question. Both are 3-season tents. The difference is in the poles. The Bullfrog uses the more expensive DAC Featherlite NSL Reverse Combi 7001 Aluminum & the tadpole uses the standard Dac FeatherLite 7001 Aluminum.
