Your laptop power cord has managed to wrap itself around each and every item in your backpack. Multiple pockets (plus a power-cord-specific compartment) on The North Face Box Shot Backpack would love to relieve your frustration. The front of The North Face Box Shot has two large stash pockets with vertical zips so you don't have to excavate your entire backpack just to find keys or lip balm, a zippered bottom power-cord pocket holds your laptop accessories, and there's a stretch-woven accessory pocket on the shoulder strap. A laptop compartment in the main cabin secures a 17-inch ‘puter when you're headed to school or work.
Bottom Line: Pockets for laptop accessories and the small stuff.
I currently have a Swiss Army backpack, but it is tearing apart from the weight. I usually carry 2 large books (they are accounting books so they are bigger than typical textbooks) and a laptop, would this be a good pack for that much stuff?
Hi Casey - I think this pack is great and would serve you well- however you might want to check out The Surge and the On Site packs (also North Face)- they have dedicated laptop sleeves that you can access without going into the main compartment of the pack. I find this way more convenient if you access your laptop often or when traveling (airport etc.) They all work great, but I really like the dedicated laptop access- Hope this helps
This is my first North Face Backpack that I have purchased. One thing i love about this backpack is very comfortable with adjustable everything and comes with many compartments. As for the built in laptop sleeve it has protection on the bottom and both sides. It has lots lots of room for all your school supplies and more. This is an awesome backpack and worth the every cent of it.
I have found this backpack to be extremely practical for a college student. My computer seems well protected with plenty of other pockets for my books and other miscellaneous items. It is a little pricey at about $120.00, but worth it.
My question is how big is this the laptop compartment of the Box Shot Backpack backpack. I am asking you this question because my laptop it's an 18,4 inch HP hdx, so being an 16:9 ratio means it's wider than a 17 inches one but I belive it has the same width. These informations are very important for me if anybody can help me pls. Thank you.
I bought this for my daughter who just started college and she had it suggested to her and I am so glad I spent the money because it was well worth it and the product is of First Grade and Very Classy and is Very Comfortable and light and supportive and it carries a 17 inch laptop so I am quite impressed about it knowing that I bought it for my daughter. An excellent purchase. I would purchase from NorthFace or Back Country in a Moment because any purchase you would have you would never worry about it being of of the greatest quality and construction and very well put together.lkyspgot57@aol.com
Both of the primary fabrics used to build this pack have a DWR finish but none of the seams are taped and obviously there are a lot of zippers. In turn I would say this pack is water resistant at best.
This bag is used mainly for school and my computer, but I have used it for my weekends in the Army and many other things. I would suggest it as a great bag for anyone wanting to carry a lot of stuff.
It is very comfortable and seems to be well-designed ergonomically.
Sturdy and more protective padding (laptop pocket) than their lesser priced models. Obviously attractive, but it is the solid stitching and comfort that makes this pack worth the price.
I just got this pack in red the other day and I already love it. The image makes it look huge (which it's capable of) but it can squeeze super tight so you're not carrying an empty duffel bag around campus. Awesome laptop padding and good number of pockets. It's real comfy and looks damn good.
I need a backpack with back support in mind for my high school soon to be college student with a bad back. What do you recommend that doesn't cost $300?
http://www.backcountry.com/store/TNF3351/The-North-Face-Wavelength-Backpack-1830cu-in.htmlThis pack also has backsaver and is the most in-expensive one we carry with that feature.
Great value, solid design. This is a good pack. I've been using on the trails, traveling etc... and it's a nice all round bag. Quality is holding up fine so far. Nicely flexible in terms of its possible uses.
i bought the backpack and it's great! but i have a question:other sites say that there is a hydration sleeve in the large main compartment . i cant find it!!! also there is no exhaust for the hose of a hydration pack. Can anyone help me?br thomas
I bought this backpack based on a review from other people on the website. I really didn't know what to expect when I bought this backpack. I knew North Face backpacks are really good so I decided to buy this one. It looked great and had lots of pockets. When the bag came in the mail, I was astonished! The backpack feels great on your back and you can fill the bag with lots of stuff and it still feels light. It has excellent chest and waist straps for extra support. Yes, it is a little pricey but well worth the price. I recommend it to anybody. :)
Originally, I purchased the pack for travel, business/laptop and the gym. But, just got back from hiking in UT and it was great for that too especially since you can expand or compact as needed.
This is a great bag. I originally purchased it for my laptop. I was a little hesitant when i saw the price, but then i quickly realized that i spent almost two thousand on the laptop. The laptop compartment is heavily padded and my 16 inch Hp fits perfectly inside. I have found myself using this bag everyday. The bag can fit a bunch of stuff and can also be kept smaller by tightening two straps on the side of the bag. I have had this bag for a couple of months and it seams very durable. The zippered compartments are excellent for keeping things separated and the zippers are larger and look like they will not wear out or break. The people at North Face created a aesthetically pleasing backpack that definitely gets the job done!
