The North Face Betasso Trail Running Shoe - Women's
The North Face designed the Women's Betasso Trail Running Shoe for users who want an ultralight race-day feel with the durability of their favorite long-distance footwear. Though the Betasso Trail Running Shoes weigh only 21oz per pair, they withstand lots of abuse thanks to their tough, aggressive UltrATAC outsoles and synthetic uppers. The North Face also gave these shoes a healthy dose of mesh fabric to increase ventilation and keep your feet cool during mid-summer runs.
Bottom Line: Light shoes don't have to be fragile. Get The North Face Betasso Trail Running Shoes and stop replacing your pair every two months.
Great shoe. I have a problem finding running shoes that work well with my wide foot. The Betasso kills it. Wide toe box, secure heel pocket, and barely any break-in period. I've used these trail running, on the street, through slot canyons, as an approach shoe, even at the godforsaken gym. And I couldn;t have been happier. I tried on five different pairs of trail shoes when making this purchase. These beat all the competition on comfort alone and have since proved themselves as a necessary piece of gear for my all-over-the-place lifestyle. They run true to size (I'm an 8) and I find them to be very lightweight, perfect for getting back into trail running shape. I've had them for six months, and with regular use they are still holding strong.
This is a great shoe for trail running. I bought these because I have begun running a trail that is flat but rocky. These shoes perform well and I have not had any problems. I did have to put inserts in them as I am a supinator but other than that they are perfect and the price could not be beat! The toe box is large but they fit true to size.
How do the sizes run (ie small or large..) I have a pair of size 9 North Face sandals that fit me well, although technically I am a 8 1/2 to 9C. I wear a 10 wide in some sneakers. Are North Face shoe sizes consistent?
I think they run true to size. I am a consistent 7 1/2 in shoes, I ordered these in a 7 1/2 (they accidently gave me a 7) and the toe box was a little snug. I think if they were the 7.5 they would have been perfect. But they were also a little wide (too wide for me), my heal came out really easily in the 7 and I imagine it'd come out easier in the 7 1/2. Instead I went with the La Sportiva Crosslite.
I've been wearing them for a couple of weeks, and yes, I believe they do run true to size. They do have a lot of room in the toe, but it hasn't caused any problems. And there was no break-in period. They are very decent shoes.
I've been wearing this shoes for awhile. They are a light and conforms to my every move. The shoes fit true to size with room in the toe region (I wear a size 8). It's more wide for toes and fit just right at the heel area. I got many compliments on them.
I had originally fallen in love with an Asics hiking shoe (mainly for looks) but when I tried it on it was so uncomfortable. I stumbled upon the NF Betasso and when I tried it on I knew I had to have it. It's perfect on all levels. I would say that it runs true to size. I really found just what I was looking for in this shoe. It's comfortable, has great support, and also looks good. North Face did a great job on this shoe!
As an over 50 easy hiker and exercise enthusiast. Comfortable foot gear is mighty important! My initial pick was a Montrail but your reviews said that the Montrails ran on the narrow side. That was out for me because I have a wider foot. As I looked at your other selections the description of the North Face Betasso looked like the best choice. I use it to take hikes, walk around town and for the gym. It is a comfortable sturdy shoe. Your company was reccommended to me by an acquaintance in the gym and I have lost count of the people that I have referred to your company. I will most definitely buy my next pair of trail runners from Back Country. Great prices too!
