The North Face Bellflower Bomber Jacket - Women's - 2008

Synthetic insulation lines the inside of The North Face Women’s Bellflower Bomber Jacket so you don’t have to sacrifice warmth for bomber-style fashion. Zip up the front, button the wooden toggle closures over the zipper, and stash your keys and wallet in the two patched cargo pockets. The Bellflower Jacket’s hood warms your head as you scrape snow off your car.

Bottom Line: A warm jacket for when you’re on the fly.

Are there more?

By:
September 13, 2009

I have looked every where on the internet, but I can't find this jacket anywhere. Are there more jackets or are they all sold out? And will there come more of this one?

I really hope for some answers soon :D

Sizing: I wear a Large in Northface and should I go XL in this coat or is the coat true to size? Someone said its quite short but I checked the measurements and It seems to be ok...any recommendations?

I would stay true to size. I got a large at first because I have a large fleece northface but I needed to send it back for a medium. I don't find it to short but I am also short myself. I did find the sleeves long though. I would stick true to size.

Wonderful

By:
December 15, 2008

I just got this coat in the mail and I got the brown in a large first but sent it back for a medium...the brown was then sold out so I got the green and I thought I wouldn't like it because on this site or my computer at least the green looks like of snotty but I got it and I like it more then the brown! It's such a warm dark forest green color. I highly suggest this coat!

Not a good ski jacket. It's not warm enough and not waterproof at all.

Size...

By:
December 15, 2008

Oh but one more thing, I see someone else wrote to order a size up but if you're doing that the sleeves are very long so I would suggest sticking to your size!

Ifv it rains or snows, will it effect the condition of the jacket? I know it's not water proof or water resistent, so how will it hold-up?

Its condition will go from "dry" to "wet", just as happens with the sheep the wool came from. Once it dries again, it'll be back to normal. There's no lasting damage to wool (like with leather) from water.

Very nice...

By:

I really like this coat. I was worried it might be too short because of the reviews, but it is perfect. The sleeves are quite long. I am 5'9 and ordered a large. Very warm and beautiful.

The medium has a 23" center back length and the large is 24". Should be more open towards the top of the coat.

Wearing it Every Day

By: Backcountry.com Employee
January 26, 2009

I have to say, I'm in love. Singing it from the rooftops. Hiring an airplane to write it in the sky. Writing odes and songs. All to the TNF Bellflower Bomber Jacket. I'm a cold girl and I've felt fugly wearing my utilitarian puffy jacket around downtown and to work, but I always wore it because my cuter tweed and even wool coats just didn't have any insulation. This jacket's thick insulation does the trick perfectly without making you look thick- and the fabric does resist water so if you walk around on a snowy evening you'll be fine. It has a great rich texture, and the buttons are sweet. I've gotten tons of compliments on this jacket- it makes me feel like I'm a girl or something. One sizing issue- if you have a long torso, be aware that this coat has a shorter, cropped length, so it won't go all the way down to your hips. Taller folks will find that it hits more at the waist. Which is fine... it looks cute that way.

No, this jacket is mostly wool. It'll shed a bit of drizzle, but not anything heavy.

By:
December 9, 2008

I bought this jacket about a month ago. I wasn't sure if it would keep me warm enough... but it has done the job.. i really love it, and everyone gives me compliments on it... i got the brown color. The hood is nice because it is actually large than some jackets similar to this, so it stays on when the wind hits you

I effen love this JACKET!

By:
December 21, 2008

This is the greatest coat ever!!! I'm so excited to own it. It is SOOO warm and wooly. It looks awesome and everyone asks me where they can get one. It is so fantastic! My bf tells me that North wool is the best wool b/c the sheep are fed organic sheep food. And organic is better than non-organic just like this North Face jacket is better than non- North Face jackets!

A stylish warm jacket.

By:
December 23, 2008

I have worn this jacket every day since I got it. I, too, get lots of compliments. I love that the color goes with everything. The only thing that my be a drawback is that the length seems a little short through the torso- I'm 4'11" and the length fits me perfectly but may not if you're taller.
