The North Face Baltoro 200 Boot - Men's - 2007

If you need boots that'll keep your feet warm in minus 20F temps, with outsoles that'll provide crazy grip on slick ice, grab The North Face Men's Baltoro 200 Boots. Waterproof leather uppers and a HydroSeal waterproof barrier block rain and snow, and PrimaLoft insulation keeps your feet warm. Since many winter boots feel uncomfortably stiff, The North Face made the Baltoro 200 Boot with an anatomically engineered shell and forefoot flex grooves. The multi-directional lugs in the Baltoro Boot's outsole actually stiffen into small ice-picks as temperatures fall below freezing, so you'll stay on your feet during icy Alaskan and east-coast winters.

Bottom Line: That ice-sheet outside your front door has nothing on The North Face Baltoro 200 Boots.

Baltoro 200's

By:
February 20, 2008

The Baltoros are excellent boots, warm, comfortable, solid, and the rubber up to the last means that they're completely waterproof through everything I've slogged through so far. The temperature-activated spikes appear to somewhat reduce, but not eliminate, slippage on ice. Yaktrax are still the only thing that I've found allow me to walk on ice with impunity. But these boots are as good a snow/ice boot as I've seen without actual permanent spikes. They're also easy to get on and off, while still secure when laced.

Excellent Winter Boot

By:
January 18, 2008

Looks good, feels good, dry and warm. This boot met all my expectations. I sat through a Bears game with the wind chills around 10 degrees and the warmest thing on me was my feet. I have walked through several inches of snow and slush and these boots kept my feet dry. I walk a few miles each day and these boots are very comforable walkers. All good.
