The North Face Arnuva 100 TR GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's
Train for the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run with The North Face Women's Arnuva 100 TR GTX Trail Running Shoe. The North Face added extra support, stability, and traction to the Arnuva 100 TR GTX to create the ultimate shoe for rugged, technical trails. These shoes' uppers feature mesh so your feet can breathe and abrasion-resistant synthetic nubuck that withstands abuse from rocks, sticks, and dirt. A waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane means your feet stay dry as you splash across mountain streams. Sure Grip heel panels prevent your heels from slipping, which reduces the likelihood of blisters. A lightweight EVA midsole with extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot absorbs impact and enables an energy-efficient stride. The North Face added AgION antimicrobial to the Arnuva 100's footbeds—this antimicrobial made from silver kills bacteria so your feet don't stink quite so much after a sweaty 50-mile run. Tenacious Grip rubber outsoles grip uneven, rocky, sandy, or wet terrain.
Bottom Line: Whether you log 10 miles or 100 miles on tough terrain, The North Face Arnuva 100 trail running shoes go the distance.
Great winter running shoes. Have used for quite a few runs in the snow in Minnesota at temps down to 15 degrees F. Warm and dry feet with excellent trail grip on ice and snow.
excellent shoe! i found this a few years back at a big box sports store and have been wearing them ever since. the rugged sole makes them great for the trail while the deep cushioning makes them great on the road. i think the gore tex lining is a new addition from my old ones. i haven't been in water or very cold weather with these yet, but i am sure they will do great.
this is a solid shoe that will stand up to whatever adventure you might be on. i too would say order 1/2 size up, but then that's pretty standard with running shoes.
They don't have this on here in a size 9, which is what I usually wear. But, I've read online that these run a bit small and a size up wouldn't be bad. Anyone on here know if ordering a size 10 is still reasonable for this type of shoe?
Sooo, I DEFINITELY recommend getting this shoe in size up. I just received the shoes (SPEEDY DELIVERY, BTW!) and I ordered a Size 10 even though I normally wear a size 9. Even with a Size 10, they fit pretty comfortably (no excess room). My feet are pretty wide too, so that makes a difference.
I love the shoes, although I have to say I haven't run in them yet. They are stylin' and the grip on the sole is great for trails. I always, always wear a size 8, but these were too small. I'll be sending them back and hope the 8 1/2 works better.
Is the profile around the ankle on this shoe as high as the NF 103 gortex? How wide is the toe box? Does it hold your heel down on steep ascents? Is it compatible with orthodics?
I love these shoes! I use them for dog walking in all kinds of weather, and I don't know how I got along without them. I had another style before this pair, and they lasted nearly two years before the gore-tex started to fail.
This is my 4th pair of these shoes. I use them all year long to run on the pavement in Vermont---snow, ice, rain, whatever. When one pair wears out, I intentionally look for another just like it. The gortex is essential and works great!
These run small. I am normally a size 8 in all other North Face running shoes; I accidently bought the 8.5 and they are still too small. They are also super stiff; but I think they'd be great if they fit.
