The North Face Alpine Jacket - Men's - 2006

The North Face Men's Alpine Jacket is designed for use in bad to worse winter weather conditions. The two-layer Gore-Tex shell provides protection from the most heinous snow and rain conditions. The fully adjustable hood has a wire brim visor to keep the water from running down you face and down your collar. The brushed interior collar in the Alpine jacket keeps it comfortable against your chin all day long. Layer the Alpine with The North Face Denali for an insulated, stormproof winter setup. If you're heading out into bad weather, this is your new suit of armor.

Bottom Line: Travel happily through weather that would shut down a polar bear in the The North Face Men's Alpine jacket.

Great Coat

It has been a nasty Feb. here in New England and I got my new coat just in time. Dry in the rain. Warm in the cold.

This is the older version of the alpine jacket. It does not come with a fleece so you would need to buy one to put it in. the jacket itself is alright, not bad not all that great

not anymore its out of stock but you should check out mountain hardware technical shells like the argon. I have found them to be a lot more durable and just an overall better coat

The jacket is durable and constructed with quality. The lack of hand pockets is kind of annoying, but there is plenty of room for stuff especially when you buy an inner lining.

I agree with previous reviews that not having hand-warming pockets is a little inconvenient but the quality of the jacket makes up for any of that. With a fleece liner/layer it is more than adequate in any condition. I'm happy.
