Wade through puddles, streams, or waist-deep canyon water with the Teva Men's Karnali Wraptor Shoes. Their water-draining soles and Wraptor Fit Technology support your feet and prevent water-logging. Teva gave the Karnali Wraptors drainage ports that let water escape through the bottom of the shoe without letting trail chunks in. These ports also keep your feet ventilated and dry when you aren't up to your knees in water. Teva's Wraptor Fit offers easy adjustability for changing conditions—lock the Karnali down tight on slick ground, and loosen it up for long hikes over dry ground. The full toe wrap protects your toes, and the Microban antimicrobial treatment keeps your feet smelling non-offensive.
Bottom Line: Don't let water weigh you down while you hike. Take the Teva Karnali Wraptor Shoes on your trip.
I really like the Karnali wraptor. I do a lot of hiking and canoing with my family. These shoes allow for light hiking to waterholes and are great for wading in creeks. The soles make it easy to climb waterfalls and walk on slippery river rock. they really are great to wear canoing. They don't hold a lot of water when you get back in the canoe, so the rest of your gear doesn't sit in a puddle of water. The drain holes did feel weird at first but after a few times out you won't even notice them. The straps keep them tight on your feet so they don't slide off or get sloppy when wet.
I was looking for a functional sandal that would do well in water crossings while hiking and backpacking. These are very light, but very sturdy, perfect for carrying on hikes. I wasn't expecting them to be so comfortable to wear that I would want to walk in them all the time. They need to be hidden away so they are only used when needed. Not difficult to take on and off either, as some have said. I can put them on with one hand when I feel like.
I bought this sandal hoping to get a running sandal as well as a good travel sandal for a trip I was planning to India and Nepal in August 2009. I purchased the sandal in a few months early to make sure they were well broken in and comfortable.
Upon arriving in India the rubber overlays on the soles began to unglue. First one shoe, than the other. It required me to have repairs done twice while away as well as requiring me to purchase my own glue so touchups could be made on an almost daily basis. After 3 weeks of this incredibly inconvenient nonsense. I trashed them in my hotel in Kathmandu.
Not a bad shoe. Good for those hiking trips that involve lots of water. The drain holes are great. But as another reviewer said, rocks tend to get sucked in. And they rub on the heel a little bit at first, But as with most Teva's I have owned the heel rub stops after the shoe is broken in. I use mine all the time for kayak trips. All in all a good shoe.
A great shoe for doing anything in and around water. I'm not sure of the exact weight specs but they are lightweight, comfortable, and barely noticeable. The drainage system easily allows your feet to dry out without ever having to worry about water logged feet. They stay secured with an adjustable strap and clip system and you'll appreciate the fact that they have full toe protection.
Great for unexpected wet conditions. I used mine for hikes and multiple kayak trips with no problems. Obviously, they drain great and the toe wrap has definatly saved me where the historic Teva's would have left me aching. Took me a week to break them in but fit comfortably now. I have experienced the pebble jam situation but not a major problem.
These are like a cross between keens and chacos. They are pretty comfortable for every day wear but also work great on the trail and in the stream. They dry pretty quick with the quick drying design. They are easy to adjust comfortably on your feet. Im looking for more outdoor footwear brands to make shoes like these.
Very well built, snug fit and the arch support is excellent. I use it to walk around New York City, and I like the drain holes for when it rains. Very sharp looking also, so I have to give it a thumbs up.
Very comfortable. However, after 2 float trips I'm looking for something else. When small pebbles that get into the sole and then into the drainage holes at the bottom, they are a pain in the foot. Literally. Removal of the stones in the drainage holes is difficult and frustrating.
