Nope, you can just drill and screw in the bindings like any other ski. Watch where you mount so that you don't hit any of the inserts. The plate is simply for folks who wish to utilize the inserts, but K2 is dropping them for next year so I wouldn't worry about it!

This is a great binding for any tele girl looking to rip. The softer spring combined with the adjustable cable guides make this binding incredibly versatile and appropriate for any ski level, whether you are in the backcountry or at the resort. A great, all-around binding, plus, it's pink!

Any 75mm toe boot will fit these bindings. The Bombshell is for smaller, lighter boots and the Hammerhead is for larger, stiffer boots. The toe cage is the same on both though.

Great price and great product. I use the 22 Designs "HammerHead" binding but I needed something that would work with a smaller lighter person. These work perfectly for my 11 year old daughter with a size 4.5 boot, and I expect to keep these bindings through many generations of progressivly larger skis. Very nice bindings, and just right for smaller lighter skiers!

Get the Bombshell for sure. Way more power transfer = much more solid feel than the BD stuff. Plus, it weighs 40z. less. The adjustability of 22designs' binders accomodates all sizes and styles.
