TSL Snowshoes 325 Explore Easy Snowshoe - 2008

The TSL 325 Explore Easy Snowshoe makes getting out on the local trails a breeze. The sturdy hourglass shape gives you an easy, natural stride, while aluminum crampons underneath bite into the snowpack for traction and stability. Just adjust the toe box to fit your snow boots and ratchet the heel in place, and you’re ready to go exploring. A heel lift mechanism reduces calf fatigue when you’re trekking uphill and provides a raised platform beneath your heel to even out your steps. The snowshoes hinge from the toe with every step, shedding excess snow and making it a breeze to walk through the fluff. When you’re done, you can lock down the footbed for flop-free storage and transport.

Bottom Line: Easy does it.

How do these handle powder? It sure doesn't look like there

How do these handle powder? It sure doesn't look like there is a lot of surface area to work with. Is there a tail attachment you could get?

Good observation. These "snowshoes" don't even look big enough to satisfy the minumum size requirement for a snowshoe race. They would only be good for hiking when you could stay on top of the snow most steps without any snowshoe on or on an already well broken trail.
