Wear The North Face Men’s XTC Midweight ¼-Zip Pullover alone or under a shell during any of your cold-weather backcountry forays. This base layer features The North Face’s bamboo carbon technology—carbon from bamboo wicks better than regular polyester, plus it naturally resists odors and blocks the sun’s harmful UV rays. If you get hot while skinning up or rest-stepping up a slope, just undo the shirt’s quarter-length front zipper to let off some steam.

Bottom Line: Bamboo is so much more than panda bear munchies.

As the other reviewer said, it runs on the large side, especially considering the photograph above. I dont really understand the vertically challenged collar on this either, but that's where my complaints stop. Its comfortable and capable of withstanding late night debauchery on the mexican coast this winter. Performed well as my midlayer piece for touring this spring as well.

I thought this was a next-to-skin type of garment. If so it runs on the large side.
