The North Face Inlux Insulated Jacket - Men's - 2008
The North Face Men's Inlux Insulated Jacket keeps you warm on the mountain, and its 2-layer HyVent fabric blocks moisture as you snorkel through fresh powder. Heatseeker insulation warms your core and arms on chilly ski days, and Underarm zips help you dump heat after invigorating mogul runs. Remove the hood when you wear the Inlux Insulated Jacket on dry days.
Bottom Line: The North Face Inlux Insulated Jacket won't get wet and soggy when winter storms roll in.
i bought this jacket here last year and i cant wait to get cold again, ha ha ha, it really does everything, waterproof, windproof, overall a great winter jacket, i haven't tested below 0,i'm in the capital, but it performed great for me without layers, around single digits
I live in Northern New Mexico and ski Taos/Angel Fire/Sipapu/etc, so we have fairly warm temps for most of the ski season, so far this season I've been in 55F sun baked conditions, and 10F driving sleet conditions, and everything in between, and this jacket delivers. No problems with any seams, all the chords tighten up niceley on the bottom and hood. Interior and exterior pockets,(I use the interior for keys/ID/ipod and the exterior for sunglasses/spare beanie. The insulation is definatley adequate, I haven't had to wear a heavy liner underneath it all season, and i'ts not too much insulation so that it feels bulky, feels like you're not even wearing it in the moguls and trees. The one complaint I seem to have is the zipper is sometimes finicky on the main zipper, I can't do it with gloves on, but how many times a day do you fully unzip anyway? Great Jacket, Great price, great look both on the slopes and around campus, and backcountry shipped the damn thing in 2 days(off free shipping).
no this does not have a removable liner...insulated just means...well that it has insulation built right into the jacket, jackets with removable lines usually say 3-in-1, or for north face: "tri-climate"
does everything and comfy. although ts inside pocket is on the right side of the jacket which is very strange for the mjority of people who are right handed. other than that no complaints
Waterproof, warm, and breathable. Good for cold weather skiing or running. Overall very solid jacket with a fairly athletic cut and good two-tone color scheme. Two thumbs up.
My boyfriend needed a new, warm, stylish winter jacket but didn't take the time to purchase one. I decided to get this one for him for Christmas and he loved it! He wasn't too sure at first (the armpits are a little stiff at first) but he wore it to the family dinner on Christmas and said he loved it! It looks really nice on him too! The size was perfect and looks great! I would totally buy this jacket all over again! And he was very happy too!
I was need dyer need of a new jacket for the winter time. I live in the DC Area and around here, it gets very cold during the winter so I bought this Northface Inlux Jacket and I've I have never EVER had a jacket so durable and comfortable to wear in my life. Its stylish too, so it goes great with the outfits I have to wear. For those who don't know, NOW YOU DO, this is the jacket to buy. No questions asked, just buy it and it'll speak for itself.
hello yes this is a warm jacket, however depending on the level of activity it will probably not breathe as much as layering with a gore-tex shell.also the jacket kinda bulky if your using it to fish try a nice fleece with either a gore-tex shell or vest .if its within your budget.
I live in Maryland. Winter temps here are between 20-40 degrees and it rains often with occasional snow. I usually walk to work and I spend a lot of time outside. Will this jacket keep me dry and warm?
I am sending my 16 yr old son on a trip to Winter Park, Co with a group on Dec 30 to ski for 3 - 4 days. We live in Houston, Texas. Will this jacket be warm enough for him during the cold weather? He plans to snowboard
It should be, but it's a little bit borderline. Winter Park at the end of the year could get cold enough where this jacket alone won't be warm enough, so he might need to layer some stuff underneath.
I am an electrician and am looking for a jacket that will give me flexibility, is lightweight, waist length, and will keep me warm in temps that dip as low as the teens.
This is not zip-in compatible. DOnt get too hung up on zip-in compatible, not many jackets are zip in anymore, they are taking it out or using a snap in feature. It was all the rage 10 years ago, but there are hundreds of jackets that might work better for you. All you have to do is 2 zippers instead and you have many more options for layering anyways. Just because Westcomb and Arcteryx dont have zip in compatible jackets does not mean they are worthless.
