Hmm well the fit is like right on not much room for thick sweaters! But it doesn't seem to sit where it sits on everyone else who models its! It sits like on the top of my jean's waist! SO that makes me concerned! I understand its a highwaisted jacket but I would like to know how it fits on everyone else or how it should fit! Plus I don't want to order a small and then realize its too big and bulky in the middle! I want a puffy jacket but I don't want to look fat in it! haha! I don't plan to layer under it either! I'm 5'3" by the way! THanks for your help in advance!

Hi North face experts!I need some help on sizing! I'm inbetween sizes and not sure how it should fit! I'm 5"3 and I bought the xs but people say its looks a little short in the torso and tight. Where should the jacket rest to be a proper fit? Plus how long is the length of the jacket in a size small and how much extra room is there in the middle of the jacket? Does a size small look extra bulky? Is a small a lot bigger then an x-small?? Please help! The return date is fast approaching!! THank you!

Doesn't look the same on, as it does on-line. Arms are REALLY poofy up at the top. I felt like the Michelin Man in it. If you are going for a "i'm about to go for a space walk" kind of look, this is the jacket for you!!!

Jacket is beautiful!!! Just a note- the color is actually called "new taupe green" and is an olive green color.
Doesn't resemble the color on the site or at least on my monitor. Thanks!!

I was in line at the Apple store, and the girl (woman) in front of me was wearing this jacket in Nightsky Blue. She had a nice figure, I admit. Weight in proportion to height and all that. But I have to say, this jacket was a "head-turner"!
It fits nicely at the waist, and appears to fit like more of a down sweater rather than the old poofy down jackets.

I went into Nordstroms to try one on, but alas, they did not have any mediums left..... So I'm trying to decide if I should just gamble and buy one online.

If I will look like that hottie @ the Apple store, then I'm going for it!

Most flattering puffy jacket

This is the least puffy of all the puffy jackets I've every tried on. I completely disagree with the other reviews about looking like the Michelan Man-you won't. I have pretty broad shoulders so I was worried about that but it doesn't make them look any bigger than any other coat does. I would recommend this jacket for wearing around the town and not on any winter exploration trips. It's to short for any of that. Also go a size smaller than you usually would unless you plan on layering it a ton...then you will look like the Michelan Man. I'm 5'9" and the small fits great.

Great jacket for the price (got mine for $100). Not too poofy at all, but sizing runs a little small. I usually wear mediums, but had to re-order a large. Sales person was great and had my new jacket in 3 days and got a full refund for the too small one I had originally ordered. Only thing I worry about is the pocket zippers--kinda wimpy and hope with frequent use they don't bust or rip out. Other than that love the coat, super warm and awesome.
